Open in "Excel online" only

Hello,

we have got a Excel document on our Sharepoint, where many people should be able to edit. Now in my tests when I open it in "online mode" everything works fine.

But if one person opens it with Excel it locks the file for the Online users.

Is there a way to remove or deny the "Open in Excel" option?

Hi,

As far as I known, there is no configuration option to make this happen. You can edit your master page of your SharePoint site to make it possible.
